A panel of eminent experts will make presentations

KOCHI: The pre-admission guidance programme being organised by The Hindu-EducationPlus for the benefit of those seeking entry to professional courses in engineering, medical and other streams will commence at A. J. Hall, Kaloor at 9.30 am on Saturday.

Spot registration will be possible at the venue from 8.15 am and can be made use of by those who have not so far registered themselves for the event.

Others who have sought provisional registration by e-mail or post should also make use of this facility to confirm their registration.

A panel of eminent experts in different fields will make a series of presentations at the programme. Mr S.N. Kumar, Joint Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will make a presentation on the online allotment process and offer guidance to students on the points they will have to keep in mind while choosing the course and college options.

Career guidance expert Mr B.S. Warrier will make a presentation on courses in the engineering and related streams while physician and health activist Dr. C.R. Soman will offer guidance to students on courses in the medial and allied streams. Mr Ajay Antony of T.I.M.E will highlight the role of soft skills in career building.

All these experts will interact with students during a question and answer session that will follow.

A handbook providing a detailed overview of the various courses in the different professional streams will be provided free to each participant.

The event is being organised in association with State Bank of Travancore (SBT) and co-sponsored by Triumphant Institute of Management Education (T.I.M.E). The radio partner for the event is 94.3 Club FM.
