POW opposes tender

HYDERABAD: The Progressive Organisation for Women has given a call to women to resist the finalisation of the tender process for sanction of leases to liquor shops on Monday. The POW State president V. Sandhya and general secretary G. Jhansi told a press conference here on Friday that the proposed auction went against the election promise of the Congress government to implement prohibition in a phased manner. – Special Correspondent
