Farmers resort to road blockade

KOLAR: Life was hit in several parts of Kolar taluk on Friday following a road blockade by farmers. Led by the taluk unit of the Karnataka Prantha Raitha Sangha, the farmers squatted on roads to protest against the police firing in Haveri recently that claimed the life of a farmer. The farmers staged protests on Chintamani Road, Srinivaspur Road, Betamangal Road, Bangarpet Road and at Ramasandra on NH 4.
