Kisan sangha seeks judicial probe

Bangalore: The Rashtriya Kisan Sangha on Friday demanded that the State Government order a judicial inquiry into the police firing in Haveri in which one farmer was killed and several others were injured.

At a press conference here, president of the sangha V. Nagabhushan blamed officials of the Agriculture Department for the shortage of fertilizers.

The sangha urged the Government to initiate action against the officials for failure to make arrangements to supply fertilizers and seeds to farmers through village-level cooperative societies. — Staff Reporter
