‘No fertilizers shortage in Adilabad this season’

ADILABAD: Adilabad Collector on Friday assured farmers that there would be no shortage of fertilizers this season.
He said about 25,000 tonnes of the fertilizer would be acquired within the next three days for supply to farmers in the district.
Chairing a meeting of Agriculture Department officials and fertilizer dealers here, the Collector said there was a 20 per cent increase in the allocation of fertilizer to the district over last year. He instructed the officials to ensure supply of 60 per cent of fertilizers through dealers and 40 per cent through primary agriculture cooperative societies. He warned the dealers of stringent action in case they resorted to hoarding or selling the product in black market.
