The programme will begin at 9 a.m. on June 15 at the Tagore Centenary Hall, Vazhuthacaud.

The programme, being organised in association with the State Bank of Travancore (SBT) and co-sponsored by the Triumphant Institute of Management Education, is designed to help students navigate with ease the online option registration and seat allotment system administered by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE).

The programme will also help students make an informed choice about the course/college.

Registration for the programme will close on Saturday. Noted health activist C. R. Soman would make a presentation on MBBS and allied courses and on emerging areas of study and research in medicine.

On the engineering front, it will be career guidance expert B.S. Warrier who will talk to the students. In addition, he will also detail the areas of study in each branch of engineering.

A top official from the office of the CEE will explain how to go about registering their options and, more importantly, how to sidestep certain common mistakes that students have been making.

There will also be a special presentation on soft skills; skills crucial to anyone who seeks to hard sell himself to prospective employers.

This presentation will be done by an expert from TIME. A representative of the SBT will showcase various education loan schemes for candidates seeking admission to professional courses.

There will also be a question and answer session during which the panellists will answer individual queries. Entry to the programme is on a first-come-first-served basis and a student can register for the event in advance on payment of a registration fee of Rs.50.

Registrations can be also be provisionally sought by e-mail, in which case the actual registration will be made at the programme venue.
