PDS open house meetings today

CHENNAI: The Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department will conduct open house meetings to redress public grievances pertaining to family cards and the public distribution system at 14 locations in and around the city on Saturday.

According to a release, officials from the department would participate in the meetings scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cardholders and family card applicants from each of the 14 Assistant Commissioner’s Offices can attend the meetings in their respective localities.

In the Chennai North region, the meetings would be held in seven locations. The meeting for the cardholders/applicants coming under the Chidambaranar Assistant Commissioner’s Office would be held at ARC Girls Higher Secondary School, Saiva Muthaiya Mudali Street, Chennai -1. For those with Royapuram Assistant Commissioner’s Office, it would be held at Corporation Higher Secondary School, T.H. Road, New Washermenpet. For those who come under the Perambur AC’s office limits, the meeting would be held at Corporation Middle School, New Kamaraj Nagar, Vyasarpadi.

The meeting for those coming under the Anna Nagar AC’s office would be held at the Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Pulla Avenue, Shenoy Nagar. For those with the Ambattur AC’s office, the meeting would be held at Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Government Girls Higher Secondary School, North Park Street, Venkatapuram, Ambattur. Those residing in Villivakkam limits may attend the meeting at Panchayat Union Middle School, MMDA Maduravoyal. The meeting for the card holders/applicants falling under the Tiruvottiyur AC’s office is to be held at Dr.Ambedkar Night School, Valluvar Street, Kavankarai, Puzhal.

Chennai south

In Chennai South region, the meetings would be held in seven locations. Consumers covered by T.Nagar Assistant Commissioner’s office can attend the meeting at Valasaravakkam Municipality Park, Indira Gandhi Road, Valasaravakkam. Those who come under Mylapore can attend the meeting at 18, 8th Cross Street, Sastri Nagar, Adyar. Those coming under St.Thomas Mount can attend the meeting at Community Hall, Nehru Colony, Nanganallur.

Cardholders/applicants coming under Tambaram Assistant Commissioner’s office can participate in the meeting at the Community Hall in Sithalapakkam. For those who fall under the AC’s office in Saidapet can attend the meeting at Corporation Higher Secondary School, Erikarai Street, Nesapakkam, K.K. Nagar.

Those coming under Thousand Lights AC’s office can attend the meeting to be held at Asan Memorial Higher Secondary School, Cochin House.

And for those coming under Chepauk AC’s office the meeting would be held at Corporation School, Arumuga Achari Street, Triplicane.
