President to inaugurate TTD’s silver jubilee

TIRUPATI: President Pratibha Patil would be inaugurating the TTD’s silver jubilee celebrations set to get underway here on July 7.

TTD’s top echelon led by its Trust Board Chairman B. Karunakar Reddy and the Executive Officer K.V. Ramanachary were closeted on Friday with senior officials, engineers and security personnel of the Devasthanams for a review of the arrangements for the fete.

Unveiling the agenda the TTD has set for itself for the 4-day celebrations at a press conference here on Friday after the review meeting, the TTD Chairman said that to commemorate of the event, the TTD would be taking up a Rs.300 cr project to construct a huge Amenities Complex and an ‘Nithya Annadanam’ complex at Tirumala.

The President would be laying the foundation stones for the works.
