Raids on mills
Continuing the raids on mills hoarding essential commodities, special teams, led by Urban Land Ceiling Officer Hashim Sharif conducted raids on two dal mills and four trading mills at Vinukonda on Friday.
The teams assisted by two revenue divisional officers and four deputy collectors were verifying the records and stocks in these mills.
The raids were ordered by Joint Collector Kantilal Dande.
Raids were conducted simultaneously on Srisailam Mallikarjuna Dal Mills, Venkata Ramana Dal Mill, Gajanan traders, Prasannanjaneya trading company, Balaji and Ganesh traders in Vinukonda.
The officials said that mills would be confiscated and cases booked under the Essential Commodities Act if the officials find illegal stockpiling of pulses and other foodgrains.
