The trouble began when the prisoners were queuing up for breakfast BANGALORE: Five undertrials lodged in the Parappana Agrahara Central Prison sustained minor injuries in a clash between two groups, here on Friday. The trouble began on Friday morning when the prisoners were queuing up for breakfast. “Aluminum” Babu, an anti-social element and Jameel, another anti-social element, came face to face. Babu’s men reportedly attacked Jaleel and his associates. However, prison officials intervened and brought the situation under control. Jaleel and four of his associates were treated as outpatients at the prison hospital, officials said. The bodies of a couple that was getting decomposed were found at their residence in Tavarekere police station limits on Friday. The police gave the names of the couple as Nagaraj and Padma, residents of Anjananagar. According to the police, Nagaraj, who committed suicide by hanging himself, must have slashed Padma’s throat before ending his life. The couple were last seen by neighbours on Tuesday. The incident must have occurred the same day, the police said. The Tavarekere police have registered cases of murder and suicide.
