Ivory seized, two held

BANGALORE: Officials of the Central Investigation Department in charge of the Forest Cell arrested Zameer Pasha (22) alias Munna and his associate Wazir for “illegally possessing ivory,” in Gottikere Tank bed area, near Kunigal town, in Tumkur district on Friday.

Six pieces of ivory weighing eight kilos, valued at Rs. 20 lakh, in the international market, have been seized.
