Sangareddy: The leaders of Medak district TRS and CPI (M) who visited Chinnapur near Kandi on Saturday on a fact finding mission accused Congress leader Jetti Kusuma Kumar of land grabbing by filling a feeder channel. Former MLC R. Satyanarayana told the reporters that Kusuma Kumar who owned land in Chinnapur has filled the feeder channel that links Pedda Cheruvu with the Mahboob Nehar with a view to expanding the boundaries of his land. TRS leaders pointed out that the act would not only cut the link between the two water bodies but also inundate around 70 acres of land due to water logging in rainy season. The TRS and CPI (M) leaders then took the team of reporters to the culvert build by the Panchayat Raj department alongside the road, which was also demolished by unknown persons. They also found that fencing had been erected cutting the road into half. CPI (M) leader B. Mallesh alleged that the same person has done this to expand his boundaries. Mr. Mallesh said that neither the police nor the revenue officials took any action against Mr. Jetti even after they have brought this matter to the notice of district Collector and SP a fortnight ago. Both the parties declared direct action if the administration failed to initiate action on the land grabbers.
