Deepika Amirapu and Visy Valsan

Bangalore: If you are a worried parent in search of a safe and well-run crèche for your child, then Bal Bhavan may have the answer to your problem. The bhavan, an autonomous body of the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development, is planning to start a crèche in the lush environs of Cubbon Park.

The crèche, which will start in early July, will cater to children below the age of three. Its aim is to provide a safe and secure place for working parents to leave their children as well as an environment that will enhance creativity and develop the child’s personalityThe crèche will try to recreate the comforts of home. , During the day, the caretakers will take the children to the park where they can mingle with others of their age group. The authorities feel that the crèche will primarily cater to office-going couples who work near M.G. Road. A minimum of Rs. 300 a month will be charged for each child. If the child is later enrolled in the play home, the bhavan will issue a certificate at the end of three years. Work on the site where the crèche will be located is incomplete. However, admissions have already begun.
