Handicrafts expo at Kalasrusti from today

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Shanthi Niketan Educational and Economic Development Society (SEEDS) is organising a handicrafts exhibition at Kalasrusti Handloom and Handicrafts Emporium on beach road from Monday.

The highlights of the exhibition will be bead jewellery and miniature bronze items from Sri Kalahasti and Chittoor districts.

The exhibition will be held from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. every day till June 30.

Artisans will also give a live demonstration of their crafts products at the expo.

Kalasrusti has planned to organise a series of 10-day exhibitions every month, secretary of the emporium Dasarathachari said.

During each expo, an exclusive craft product will be highlighted.

From July 1 to July 10, a Kalamkari exhibition will be organised at the emporium.

Similarly, products like hand embroidery, woodcarvings, mangalagiri and other items will be showcased in the following weeks.
