‘Monsoon Magic’

Kozhikode: Minister for Local Self-government Paloli Mohammed Kutty inaugurated ‘Monsoon Magic,’ a sensitisation programme on monsoon-related diseases, at the Town Hall here on Sunday.

The programme, under the guidance of the State government, was led by magician Gopinath Muthukad. He performed several tricks conveying implicit messages on keeping monsoon-related diseases at bay.

Mr. Muthukad was accompanied on the stage by 15 young artistes. Photographs by the late Victor George on the theme of ‘Monsoon’ set the backdrop for the show.

A documentary film produced by the Information and Public Relations Department on developmental issues of the district was screened.

A. Pradeep Kumar, MLA, presided. Mayor M. Bhaskaran and CPI leader Pannian Ravindran were present.
