54 child labourers rescued in Haryana

Chandigarh: The Haryana Labour Department has rescued 54 child labourers during an inspection campaign carried out in ‘dhabas’, tea stalls, sweet shops, workshops, brick kilns and other commercial establishments.

Labour Commissioner N.C. Wadhwa said here on Sunday that the Department conducted 130 inspections as a part of the state-wide campaign against child labour with the additional help of two special raiding parties. Over 1,100 raids were conducted and 216 people were fined during the previous campaign conducted in the State.
