‘People will back Telangana in 2009 poll’

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Ignoring TDP president N.Chandrababu Naidu’s directive not to air views publicly on Telangana, senior party leader Kadiam Srihari on Sunday asserted that people will overwhelmingly support the cause of the separate State in the 2009 elections.

Addressing the inaugural session of the Telangana Private Sector Employees’ Association here he said all political parties would be forced to take a clear stand on Telangana by next year.

He warned the votaries of Telangana that the Congress Party was once again “conspiring” to weaken the pro-Telangana sentiment by stating that it would enter into a tie-up with the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS).

Mr. Srihari accused the Chief Minister Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy of diluting the pro-Telangana sentiment by splitting the TRS.
