Stir planned against pay panel proposals
CHENNAI: Organisations representing personnel of scientific departments of the Government of India have resolved to agitate for a better pay structure than the “retrograde” proposals of the Sixth Central Pay Commission.
The decision followed a recent meeting of these organisations. They adopted a resolution urging the Prime Minister to intervene in the issue, taking into account the strategic importance of units such as the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) and Department of Space (DOS). — Special Correspondent
