‘UPA diluting job scheme’

HYDERABAD: Speakers at a round table on Sunday regretted that the UPA Government, instead of leveraging the benefits of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Programme (NREGP) to the hilt, was trying to dilute it.

A.P. Rythu Sangham president K. Ramakrishna and Agricultural Workers’ Union secretary B. Venkat said the Centre facilitated the passage of the National Rural Employment Guarantee Bill only because of the pressure mounted by the Left parties.
