Shanavas races away to title

BANGALORE: P.M. Shanavas of MEG won the men’s 12-km race in the K.A. Nettakallappa memorial DAC road race at Mandya on Sunday. Shanavas clocked 35:06.3s. Thippavva Sannakki won the women’s 6-km race.

The results (winners only):

Men: 12-km: P.M. Shanavas (MEG), 35:06.3s; Women: 6-km: S. Thippavva Sannakki (DYSS, Mysore), 21:82.0.

Boys: 2.5-km: Shetappa A. Nandi (Sports School, Chandargi), 8:44.10; Girls: 2.5-km: Shradha Rani (Sports School, Vidyanagar), 8:33.8. — Special Correspondent
