Find a range of reading material at these book fairs

hOOKED: The fair at the Tamil Nadu Housing Board community hall in Besant Nagar promises delightful hours of browsing.
Chennai: The National Book Trust and New Century Book House (NCBH) have come together to organise book fairs at two locations in the city.
The fairs are on at the Tamil Nadu Housing Board community hall opposite the Besant Nagar bus stand and the TNHB shopping complex in Ashok Nagar.
The fairs, which display about 20,000 books each, will be on till the end of August. A. Avudiappan, manager of NCBH, said: “The fairs are aimed at transforming more people, especially students, into book lovers. Hence, we offer a wide variety of reading material.”
Books on grammar, general knowledge, music, beauty, cookery, self-improvement and yoga can be bought here at prices ranging from Rs.50 to Rs.800. Children’s books, school text books and fiction can also be found here.
“Now that schools have re-opened, we receive many requests for dictionaries, colourful atlases and textbooks,” Mr. Avudiappan said. NCBH would organise book fairs at educational institutions on request from the heads of schools and colleges. The fairs are open from 9.30 a.m. to 9.30 p.m. on all days, including weekends.
