Water released to Krishna canal

VIJAYAWADA: Major Irrigation Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah switched on the motor to lift the gates of the Krishna Eastern Main Canal head sluice for releasing water to the Krishna Eastern canal here on Sunday. Water was released into the main canal that feeds Bandar, Eluru and Ryve’s canals.

The Minister spent time on the platform high above the sluice gate meant for the hosting gear along with Animal Husbandry Minister Mandali Buddha Prasad, Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, Kankipadu MLA Devineni Rajasekhar, Vijayawada West MLA Sheik Nazarvalli and others.
