Senior officer for Delhi

Staff Correspondent

MANGALORE:The Additional Director-General of Police (Law and Order), A.R. Infant, has left for Delhi to oversee the investigation.

Mr. Infant will guide the State police team camping in Delhi in connection with the crime.

The team is headed by the Additional Superintendent of Police, Dakshina Kannada, S.N. Siddaramappa.

Asserting that only a case of missing person has been reported in Manipal police station thus far, Mr. Prasad said that Manipal Police Inspector B.G. Achar would investigate the case.

Noting that the police had formed teams in the initial days when she was reported missing, he said, “Now it is only a matter of criminal investigation. The Delhi police, which has registered a case of unnatural death, will hand over the case to us.”
