Child labourers rescued

ERODE: In recent raids that personnel from the Labour Inspectorate, Erode, conducted in 256 restaurants, lathe workshops, automobile repair shops and others in Erode, Perundurai, Bhavani, Gobichettipalayam, Sathyamangalam, Dharapuram and Vellakoil, as many as nine child labourers were rescued, says a press release from the Inspectorate, issued here recently.

The Inspectorate has initiated action against the employers, the release says.

In addition to this, the communication says that those finding children below 14 years working should get in touch at 0424-2260099 so that suitable action in the matter can be taken by the authorities.
