Cart riders die
Villupuram: Two persons travelling in a bullock cart died and three others sustained injuries when a private bus hit the cart from behind on Monday. Both bullocks also perished. The police said I.Siluvanathan (52) of Arulambadi, along with S.Madhalai Mary, Adaikkala Mary (48), Julia (52) and Maria Selvan (43) were riding on a bullock cart carrying paddy bags to a rice mill at Kaduvanur.
The private bus rammed the cart from behind at Vadaponparppi. Siluvanathan died on the spot. Madhalai Mary died at the Kallakurichi government hospital.
