Two clerks dismissed from service

CHENNAI: Two clerks working in kerosene vending units of the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation at Vallalar Nagar and MMDA have been dismissed from service for alleged irregularities.

Vigilance employees, who conducted checks at the two places, detected the irregularities. Following this, departmental proceedings were initiated and they were suspended. On conclusion of the enquiry, they were dismissed, according to an official press release. The corporation warned of stringent action against those who indulged in malpractice. — Special Correspondent
