President Rajendra Prasad, speaking on the occasion of the inauguration of the first meeting of the Kalidas Celebrations Committee held at Pachmarhi on June 16, made a strong plea for establishing institutions which would conduct research in the lives and works “of our great ancestors whose contributions in the fields of art, literature and culture had enriched our glorious heritage. Dr. Prasad complimented the Madhya Pradesh Government for the celebration that would provide an occasion to offer their homage to the great poet and bring to light many unknown acts and facets relating to the life and work of Kalidasa.
