Farmers’ rally in Chodavaram on June 23

VISAKHAPATNAM: The District Congress Committee will organise the ryots’ rally in Chodavaram on June 23.

Announcing this at the DCC meeting here on Monday, Minister for Commercial Taxes Konathala Ramakrishna said this was being held as part of the nation-wide programme. Also, the implementation of waiver of farm loans and issuing certificates to that effect by identifying the beneficiaries would be taken up from July 8 to 15 in the district. Rajiv Arogya Sri scheme would be implemented in the district from July 5, he stated.

Minister for Transport and incharge minister of the district Kanna Lakshminarayana wanted the party workers to take the welfare programmes of the Government to the people and strengthen the party to face the next elections. DCC president and MLA Gandi Babjee presided. ZPP chairman G. Ramamurthy Naidu, MLAs Kannababu, Dharmasree, Ravibabu and Sitaram, MLC Sarveswara Rao and others attended.
