Punjab boys make the grade

KAPURTHALA: Defending champions Punjab in the boys’ section and Chhattisgarh in the girls’ section qualified for the knock-out stage in the 35th National sub-junior basketball championship at the Sainik School courts here on Monday.

Punjab was joined by Chhattisgarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Manipur in the knock-out stage in the boys’ category.

In the girls’ section, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Andhra Pradesh, Punjab and Kerala qualified for the next stage.
