Staff Reporter

MALAPPURAM: The Malappuram Press Club launched a continuing education programme here on Tuesday.

Senior journalist K.M. Roy inaugurated the programme.

He advised new-generation journalists to be more careful when reporting events and developments. The current generation of journalists had a tough challenge especially in the wake of the electronic media boom, he said, warning them against being part of a news event.

Press Club president C.P. Saidalavi presided over the function. Secretary T.K. Ratnakaran welcomed the gathering. Treasurer Ummer Puthiyottil proposed a vote of thanks.
