Media hype

Aarushi Talwar’s murder, though unfortunate, is not the first of its kind in India. Are there not incidents of daughters born in all classes, murdered for reasons of dowry, money, or sold by their own parents and relatives? Why is our media making so much noise over the Aarushi murder?

It is over a month since Aarushi was murdered. Television channels feed viewers with the day-to-day developments as if there is no other issue of national importance. Is it not time the news channels took a short break and let the CBI handle the case?
