Journalists to resume work

Correspondent

IMPHAL: Journalists in Manipur have appealed to the Kangleipak Communist Party (Military Council) to withdraw the death threats to them.

After launching a strike on Sunday the journalists decided to return to work from Tuesday. The newspapers will appear from Wednesday.

The KCP (MC) had asked the editors to spike the press releases of rival factions. There are eight factions of the KCP operating in the State.

Journalists caught between the pressures of rival factions had to close down offices on earlier occasions.
