Grama Sevaks threaten to launch agitation

Staff Reporter

ADILABAD: The A.P. Grama Sevak Sangham on Tuesday threatened to launch an agitation in case its eligible members are not given promotion as Village Revenue Officers by June 23.

Addressing a press conference here, Sangham district president G. Sudam and general secretary Sk. Kalim said any further delay in the process of giving promotions is not justified. They had waited for about two months for the process to be initiated because of the byelections, they said.

No response

Referring to the promotion process having been completed in the neighbouring districts in the first week of June itself, the Sangham leaders said the concerned officials in the department were responsible for the delay. They said numerous representations, including one to the Collector himself, failed to evoke a response among these officials.
