Congress to take out farmers’ rally on June 23

MAHABUBNAGAR: The Executive Committee meeting of District Congress Committee which met here on Tuesday resolved to take out a mammoth farmers rally on June 23 in Mahabubnagar town. The meeting, which was chaired by DCC president Muthyala Prakash, discussed various subjects in the day-long deliberations.

The district in-charge Minister Sambani Chandrashekar informed that the government has decided to extend loans to the tune of Rs. 900 crore to the farmers in this season. He also said that the government has enhanced the amount from Rs. 60,000 to Rs.72,000 under loan waiver scheme.

The leaders urged the party activists to take the government developmental programmes and other welfare schemes to the people. The meeting also discussed about the various welfare programmes introduced by the Congress government.
