HYDERABAD: The American Telugu Association (ATA) conference, scheduled to be held in Newark, New Jersey on July 3, 4 and 5, will for the first time have an exclusive convention for the youth, said ATA coordinator Arjun Reddy Dyapa.

At a press conference here on Monday, he said the youth convention was included with intent to showcase Indian culture, tradition and heritage for third generation Indians who had spent almost all their years in the United States of America.

It would also show the world what Indian youth could do for their country of domicile and the country they actually belonged to.

Also, Mr. Arjun Reddy said a political forum would be conducted, a round table with sessions including those on the role of media in a democracy, the impact of globalisation and other such topics. He thanked the Andhra Pradesh Government for sanctioning a sum of Rs. 25 lakh to fund the visit of a large contingent of artistes to the conference.
