Haj quota for India fixed

NEW DELHI: The Indian Embassy in Riyadh on Tuesday stated that the Haj quota for India had been fixed at 1,60,491 pilgrims.

The official request from the Indian side to increase the quota was under the consideration of the Saudi Arabian government.

An official statement here said that some reports that the Haj quota for India was increased were not correct and the Ambassador only informed the media about the Haj quota fixed for India.
