Container lorry gets stuck under bridge

ROADBLOCK: The lorry that was trapped under a road under-bridge near the Basin Bridge in Chennai on Tuesday.
CHENNAI: A container lorry got trapped under a road under-bridge on the Chennai Central–Arakkonam section, near Basin Bridge Junction, for more than two hours on Tuesday morning, after it hit the girder of the bridge.
Southern Railway sources said train services were not affected, as no train was scheduled to cross the bridge during that period.
It took nearly half-an-hour for railway officials to remove the top portion of the container that protruded into the rail track on the bridge.
