Vijay Punjabi takes lead
Bangalore: Defending champion Vijay Punjabi of Karnataka led by 174 pins over Delhi’s N.P Singh on the second day of the 20th National tenpin bowling championship here at Star City.
Vijay, who started tentatively on Monday, made Tuesday his own with four games of over 200 and the rest above 180 to maintain his average at 202. Meanwhile, N.P Singh, who was placed 17th on the inaugural day, recovered well with an average of 187.67.
Last years’ runner-up Girish Gaba of Karnataka is trailing N.P Singh by a mere 11 pins. — Principal Correspondent
