MALAPPURAM: The M.E.S. College of Engineering at Kuttippuram is celebrating Torque 2008, an annual exhibition the college has been conducting for several years, on their campus on Thursday. Several organisations promoting science and technology from across the country would participate in the expo. The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) would display ‘Indian Space Odyssey 1962-2008’, portraying the advances the country had achieved in space technology over the past 36 years. A motor show, which would be one of the key components of Torque 2008, would feature several foreign cars and motorcycles. Thiruvananthapuram-based team Ghostriders would be performing at the show. Auto firms like Tata and Hyundai would exhibit their vehicles at the auto expo. The Kelappaji College Agricultural Engineering Technology, Tavanur, would have their stall at Torque 2008. The organizers said virtual architectural reality would be created with the help of computer aided design (CAD). Apart from paper presentations and technical seminars, there would be Local Area Network (LAN) gaming as well. The show would be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
