10-year-old rescued

Gorakhpur: Volunteers on Wednesday rescued a 10-year-old boy from the clutches of a woman beggar and handed the woman over to the police. The rescued boy has been identified as Rajjan of Siddhartha Nagar district. Police is investigating the possible involvement of an organised gang. The woman used to beg in trains and near the Ghaziabad railway station. Sometimes she would pick up children and involve them in begging. Police said she may have sold some minor girls to brothels.
