PUDUCHERRY: The Puducherry Munnetra Congress (PMC) will soon have a new set of office-bearers in the State committees and for all its front organisations, according to party vice-president K. Lakshminarayanan. He told reporters on Wednesday that PMC president P. Kannan had decided to abolish all the existing posts in the party and appoint new office-bearers from the State. The decision was taken in view of the reorganisation of Assembly segments after the delimitation exercise, he said. Several functionaries from other political parties had recently joined the PMC, he said, adding that when the new committees were constituted, they would be given due representation. According to him, the party also wanted to give more representation to youth and women in the decision-making process.
