VIZIANAGARAM: The District Congress Committee has asked party men to make the proposed kisan rally on June 23 in Bobbili a success. The aim of the rally is to propagate the loan waiver scheme of the UPA Government among farmers. DCC president V.V. Rama Rao presided over a meeting. Minister for Housing B. Satyanarayana, MLAs P. Sambasiva Raju, K. Veerabhadra Swamy, P. Rajanna Dora and S.K. Ranga Rao and others participated.

Addressing party leaders and cadres here on Wednesday, Mr. Satyanarayana said that 26,000 farmers who had availed themselves of loans to the tune of Rs. 20 crores from DCCB would get the benefit. He said that both commercial banks and the DCCB would finalise the amount a farmer would benefit by June 30.

He appealed to party men to mobilise farmers from each mandal for the rally.
