Appointed

BANGALORE: The Union Ministry of Food Processing has appointed P. Chengarayalu as Regional Chairman of the Task Force on South Zone II for Food processing industries. South Zone II comprises Karnataka, Kerala and the Union Territory of Lakshadweep. The Task Force on Food processing has been constituted primarily to suggest measures for overall development of food processing industries in the light of availability of raw materials and state of infrastructure. According to a press release, Mr. Chengarayalu is a warehousing industrialist and also a member in the co-operative union of India. He is appointed by Union Minister for Food processing Subodh Kant Sahay. — Special Correspondent
