DEHRA DUN: The Centre has given permission to the Uttarakhand Government to open a medical college in Srinagar town of Garhwal region, Chief Minister B. C. Khanduri said on Wednesday. “I am glad to announce that the Central Government has permitted us to establish a new medical college at Srinagar in Pauri district,” he said. Initially, 100 students will be admitted to the MBBS course for the 2008-09 academic session, he said. - PTI
