Amitabh Mattoo made knowledge panel member

Jammu: Jammu University Vice-Chancellor Amitabh Mattoo has been nominated member of the prestigious National Knowledge Commission.

The order to this effect was issued by the Planning Commission after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s approval. The Commission, headed by Sam Pitroda, coordinates with various Union Ministries and the State governments and reports directly to the Prime Minister.

Professor Mattoo became the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Jammu in November 2002.
