This Day That Age
Khan Abdul Ghaffar Khan’s son, Khan Wali Khan, is being tipped as Pakistan’s Ambassador to China. The post fell vacant consequent on the appointment of Mr. Sultannuddin Ahmed as East Pakistan Governor. Dr. Khan Sahib’s son, Mr. Saadullah Khan, was sworn in as West Pakistan Minister on June15. Political circles averred that these appointments were inspired by the Republican Party’s efforts to minimise Abdul Ghaffar Khan’s influence in the Frontier province. Mr. Wali Khan is a Professor in the Islamia College of Peshawar.
