Indo-Italian chamber to focus on tourism

BANGALORE: The Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IICCI), Bangalore regional office, at a recent meeting held here, has decided to take up several activities in Bangalore.

Focus

President of the IICCI, Narinder Nayar, said the activities would centre around travel and tourism.

Opportunity

He said Karnataka was an important State and there could be considerable opportunities for cooperation between Italian companies and the companies in Karnataka.

On this occasion, CEO of the UB Global, V. Shashikanth, was elected chairman of the Bangalore Chapter of IICCI.

Expo

Secretary-General of IICCI Sergio Sgambato, announced a change in the format of the annual cultural extravaganza “Festa Italiana”.

The “Festa Italiana” will include an exposition that will showcase the best of Italy under one roof.

Emphasising the novelty of the expo, Mr. Sgambato highlighted the various sectors from India and Italy that are likely to participate in the programme.
