‘Mysterious illness’ kills one

Kasaragod: One more person, Maindappa Rai (60), of Puthrakala house at Ethadukka located in Kumbadaje panchayat limits, succumbed to a ‘mysterious illness,’ suspected to have been caused by spraying of Endosulfan pesticide in Cashew Plantation Corporation land. Rai had been suffering from acute body pain for over the last two years, died on Wednesday. — PTI
