Prospects for third front bright in TN: Saratkumar

Special Correspondent

PUDUKOTTAI: The prospects for a third front emerging as a crusader in the cause of the welfare of people of Tamil Nadu are bright, the founder-president of All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi R. Saratkumar said. Addressing media here on Wednesday, Saratkumar questioned the rationale behind the snapping of ties by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam with the Pattali Makkal Katchi. The DMK had more utilised the PMK for garnering people’s votes under the pretext of the Democratic Progressive Alliance. The DMK has now a greater responsibility of furnishing a valid justification to the people. He said that the voters of Tamil Nadu were rather fatigue over the alliance formula to such an extent that they would not give any credential to the alliance strategy in future.

A third front, sans both the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam, would emerge in future.

He termed as ‘regrettable’ the elimination of Pudukottai from the Parliamentary map of our country following the recommendations of the Constituency Delimitation Commission.
