Red Ribbon Express to reach Ernakulam on July 4

KOCHI: The Red Ribbon Express train, a joint initiative of the National AIDS Control Organisation and Indian Railways to create awareness about HIV/AIDS and to end the discrimination against the HIV infected, will reach Ernakulam South Railway station on July 4. The train will visit 180 districts and 43,200 villages in the country as part of the campaign. There will be six teams of artistes in the train who will perform at various places. Each team will stage four shows every day. The highlight of the campaign will be the measures to be taken to prevent HIV/AIDS. It will also encourage people to adopt a healthy life style to prevent the spread of AIDS. The Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Kerala government and the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation are also lending their support.
